It was early morning the sun was just rising over dark woods. Spots of light shown through the trees, leaving odd patches of bright sunlight on the meadow. And hitting the a small barn and house by the woods. The red paint showing of age and starting to peel, and the doors a little rusted on the latches.
The young man running across the yard to the barn was swift and quiet. His tall, slim build made it easy to keep quiet and be fast. He is fifteen years old, and his name is Jason Woodscare. He lives here and goes to Adamidia Highschool, only a few miles away in town.
Jason quietly pushed the barn doors open, just enough for him to squeeze through them. He turned around to see a large white figure jump on him, knocking him down on the pile of hay. "Off Moon, you big fur-ball!" he said with a laugh, pushing her off before she could give him a slobbery wet lick on the face. We ambled through the brambly meadow
toward where the leafy canopy
greets raindrops and the cheerful sparrows
and waits for us so quietly.
A melody of smell from meadow'y plants
gave life to the breath inside our chest
our shadows merged so faintly 'neath
the lance of light the sun had blessed
A rainbow rose above the field
to crown the forest with its glory
for us, it was a sign from heaven
that bade us to begin our story. The Snake         A
       speck
      of stardust
     lands upon
     her brow;
    altered
     as a snake
     with a head
      of diamond
      demanding
       that I bow.
         She slithers
          in my mind,
           breaking
           through
           the gates
           of my
           unmountable
          fortress
         of reason.
        Shouting
       war cries
     as a knight
    illuminating a
    treasure hunt
     in the cloudfull
      starless night.
         And wherever
          she glides,
          the air
          vibrates in
          a hue of
         black and blue;
        leaving behind
       a trail of rave,
      and broken down
      pieces of sane.
      With a pace
      insane,
      she ascends
      vortexally
       upwards
        my tower
        of rationale.
         Wriggling
          her way
           towards
            my chamber
            of secrets.
            NO! NO! NO!
            She penetrated
            my defens turn to stoneThe sun retreats, fearful,
falls belly flat to the earth: the horizon ignites,
a fever flares, but here?
All golds silver, blues settle soft,
a shimmering ash of mirrors crackles
over faces of water and stone and sky.
At the moment of diffusion [when dark
spills her silks entirely] everything is still,
everything is silent. The trees pull to it, the
magnetism of quiet- and they chatter soundlessly to
the invisible.
On a charged landscape,
life merges to time. The pool
clasps something in its deep, some electric wonder
that has always been here and always
will.
A harmony voices never falters, even as they stiffen.
Undetectable to my ears but ringing, still, beneath stone
a molten core. It does not cool for an unseen moon. It asks
"Why?"
One note, a clang that holds the trees as they nod
into union with the sun, to tired to disagree, drifting
to the caverns, prying at the new with the curiosity of the
old- "Why?" opens across the grasses with their flowers, but
these giants slumber, stru Bubblegum and CigarettesShe had put herself in the last sunlight of the day.
The light slanted through the gap in the curtains,
slashing light across her face.
She looked up, coughed, and inhaled more of the cigarette
dangling between her fingers.
"I was beautiful, once," she whispered,
smoke curling from the corners of her mouth.
It drifted lazily, painting mysterious designs in the air.
"I could be beautiful again, you know. If I tried."
It was true.
Her red-slicked lips were tight and wrinkled at the
corners, stained with the hardships of the years, and
her hands, the greatest tellers of age, held thousands
of stories.
And yet there was something about
her eyes that held more sadness than pain,
and through them, the last vestiges

Keep comments positive!I think dA is a really nice place for people who are interested in art, to share their work and ideas and get positive tips and constructive advice to help their work progress.  I have however, noticed quite a number of comments on the work of others, that I consider nothing more than insulting with no positive point at all.  
Being an older member of the community, comments like this are "water off a duck's back" to me, but I do worry about younger artists, who may be a lot more sensitive and may be put off art for good just because of immature people.
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there are so many different levels of talent on this site and some of the young people will have years ahead of them to develop skills and we should all be encouraging rather than negatively criticising.
I received the comment below on my latest painting the other day and it made me think how differently I would have felt about it if I was a young person. So, i've been on dA off and on for about 6 years now. That's a lot of time of involvement in this community.
I'm primarily a writer, and i had many inactive periods here, but i always came back to enjoy amazing art & share amazing ideas with amazing people.
And i'm back again, feeling quite inspired these last few months.
I appreciate any form of visual expression, but as a hobbyist my main interest is photography.
Among everything else, i love good artistic nude photography!
So in my many scavenges-for-wonders i couldn't help but notice some very annoying phenomenona concerning this kind of art, which will be my *kahm* pleasure to present to you further on.
But first of all, i'd like to explain how it came to the provocation for writing this spiteful journal.   
I'm (meh, only partially to be honest) sorry for publicly pointing at other individuals, but it seems it had to be done.

The vibrant digital paintings of alicexz are fiery, emotional, and incredibly memorable.
The colors of her creations (mostly portraits of popular TV and Film characters) are unusually vibrant, which is remarkable considering how layered they appear to be. It’s sort of like what manga characters might look like if painted by one of the Dutch Masters. And this artist exhibits just the right amount of quirkiness to leave us wanting to know more: she has a penchant for painting redheads. But, then of course, there’s a lot of red and golden fire burning through most her artworks.
